The event started on a high note as usual with participants
already in their seats. The guest speaker Mr. Bankole Oloruntoba Founder of Enspire Incubator Abuja shared with the audience
inspirational and motivational startup stories. He also gave advises and
suggestions to the attendees on how to build an idea into a minimum viable
product. After his speech, a prototyping session was held were selected participants
pitched their innovative ideas. During the prototyping, other participants were
encouraged to join any group whose idea they find appealing. A prototype hack
demo was next in which all participants were required to join their groups and
make a wire-frame or mock-ups of the ideas they choose. This went on for about
an hour. An official of the Kaduna State Government made an unexpected appearance at the demo hall. The visitor who was
the Executive Secretary, Kaduna Investments Promotion Agency also gave his
moral support and promised to create a platform where tech startups will
benefit financially from the State Government. Shortly after the hack demo was
the presentation of wire-frames from each group. It was moderated and judged by Mr. Ahmed
Mukoshy the CEO of Gigalayer. Mr. Ahmad gave intuitive suggestions and advises
which helped the techprenuers to absorb some of the technicalities with building
a minimum viable product (MVP). Aminu Bakori then proceeded with presentation on API Workshop where he
demonstrated a Cloud based OS which he developed. His OS, Cloudiora was designed
to seamlessly work with any type of device including Smart TVs and it could
also be assessed remotely from any part of the world. The event officially came
to a wrap as the Facilitator Mr. Sam Goje gave a closing remark. Other dignitaries
at the events were the representatives of telecom giants Globacom Nig Mr Olajide Oni, Voguepay.com Founding Director Mr Muhammed Ibrahim Jega and Asusu.com.ng founder Yusuf Zakari. Here are some pictures from the venue.
