TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, which is tagged "ideas worth spreading". It supports organizers who want to create a TED-like event in their own community. Since the beginning of TEDx program in 2009, nearly 15,000 events have been held in every corner of the world. So what is TEDx? It is a program designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark conversations and connection through local TED-like experiences.
The first TEDx in Nigeria is the TEDx Lagos, which was held in a tasty and memorable fashion. Since then a lot of people have been trying to bring the experience right into their domain. This year Kaduna hosts the first Northern TEDx event. It promises to feature TEDx Talk Videos and live presenters and speakers like Audu Maikori, Aisha Aguie Kuta and Olushola Amasun.
