The
popular Hausa blog www.mujallarmu.com
in collaboration with Falcon Technology has began to train 10,000 northern
Nigerian youths before the end of this year 2017. The two organizations are
joining forces to see that northern youths are not left behind in terms of
participation in ICT.
These
youths will undergo a rigorous training on ICT skills that will make them community
builders, employers of labor and in the process improve the economic condition
of their immediate environment.
The
organizers highlighted some of the objectives of this project as:
- Increase ICT awareness in the northern part of the country: this will enable the northern part of the country use ICT as a means of tackling some issues relating to Agriculture, Health, Education and so on
- Enable youths create employment and develop their immediate community
- Enable youths have hands on practical experience and problem solving using ICT.
The
training has been launched in Zamfara State on the 29th March, 2017.
It was attended by over 400 participants. The next stop is in Kano State where
the details of the training are as follows;
